I often think of the questions that are asked at interviews and/or when getting to know someone. Questions such as: tell me about yourself, what makes you unique, describe yourself, what are you passionate about, or what are your strengths and weaknesses, and so on. I admire those who are able to answer these questions with confidence and poise. Because for me, deep down I just want to say, “I am who I am”. That’s it, I am so many things that there isn’t enough time to describe myself in a 15 minute interview, and neither do I want to talk about myself for a whole 15 minutes. Then this question of what makes you unique- “Oh Lord, how the hell do I answer that?!”. These questions cause me to search even deeper within myself for who I Am. And it took me till now to figure it out. Why did it take me so long to figure it out, because I kept trying to limit myself.
I am a whole lot of things. I am what I experience.
I Am:
I Am Love.
I Am Light.
I Am Kind.
I Am Strong.
I Am Energy.
I Am a Warrior.
I Am a Leader.
I Am Nurturing.
I Am Perseverant.
I Am.
Even the simple phrase of I AM is so powerful. Because that states who you are. So who do you want to be? What part of life do you want to experience?
I’ve been the following: Pain, suffering, angry, annoyed, hate, frustrated. But do those things truly makes me who I am? Yes, I am all the above. I am both dark and light. I can experience both love and hate in an experience. The question is all about how do I choose to perform when I’m in those different states, which will result in an outcome that may be favorable or unfavorable. This life that we have in this body is an experience. The body is finite, but who we are is infinite. We are co creators and can choose to respond. Yes, shit and horrific things can and wlll happen in life; however, the question is how are you going to respond? And the question is how do you choose to live?
I believe there is truly one question that needs to be asked and answered: Is who you are choosing to live with Fear or with Love?
I CHOOSE LOVE💖
